Fertility Astrology

An Alternative Fertility Treatment

Astrology is all about time.

Most doctors will agree with the statement that sometimes with fertility treatment, especially where there are no specific problems, that it is simply “not the right time”. This is not comforting to the patient, who is usually desperate to fall pregnant. An astrologer can help by pin-pointing fertile moments in a chart and getting the couple to accept the nature of time and patience. There can be up to three of these astrologically fertile moments in a year in anyone’s chart, at child bearing age of course, and it would benefit both the patient and the doctor if patients could use astrology to time their treatments.

Battling to fall pregnant, or infertility, means trying to conceive for more than a year, (or six months if you’re over 35), or already having a documented infertility issue like anovulation or Male Factor Infertility. Infertility is commonly defined as the inability to get pregnant, or maintain a pregnancy, after adequately trying for 12 months (and in some cases for a full six months) without medical assistance. Astrology is uniquely positioned to address illness in the sense that illness is seen as a journey of self-identity. This is in keeping with the genre of narrative medicine, established by doctors in the 1990s, that has shown that fiction heals.

Nicola Smuts Allsop advocates using astrology in an integrated way that includes all aspects of healing, including acupuncture, homeopathy and herbalism.

All she needs is a birth date, the time of day (nearest) you were born and the town where you were born. If it is a small village, and not on a map, then use the next nearest town east or west. The same information is needed for the partner, gestational carrier or egg donor. Clients can either consult with her directly or make use of her recently launched app.

Testimonials

I had a consultation with Nicky using Skype back in March. At this point, we had been trying for over two years, with two miscarriages: the second pregnancy only achieved after over 16 months of trying. With nothing medically wrong with either of us, I was baffled and bewildered by why we seemed to struggling so much with our fertility journey. I was hoping Nicky’s insight would provide some of the much-needed answers, in order to give us the strength to go on. We were considering IVF and, due to other life plans, wanted to try to in June for our first cycle. Nicky advised against this, as there was an eclipse in my charts which didn’t lead to a successful outcome. Instead, she recommended IVF in late August. Despite her advice, we went ahead with the June IVF cycle, and it failed. I had quite a few complications and problems with that cycle, and in the back of my mind, I could hear Nicky’s advice – and really wished I had taken it. We then started our second IVF cycle in late August as per her advice and just a few days ago, found out that it was successful!!! Of course, we are excited – but cautiously so, given our history.

I hope to add to this testimonial in about nine month’s time, with news of a safe delivery!

Many thanks to Nicky and all her advice – it has proved to be one of the most useful recommendations in my quest for a baby thus far

Hi Nicola, I hope you're well. I've been meaning to email you for ages to tell you that I'm pregnant, in fact I'm nine months pregnant. The baby's due on the 10th of May. We had IVF in August as you suggested and also tried a very new IVF technique which involves screening the eggs for genetic problems and uses ICSI – which you also suggested. Two embryos were put back in and one is still with us. I hope you're well and thank you for your help with our pregnancy; I feel a beautiful mix of astrology and IVF have worked.

Best wishes

Hi Nicky, You were so right. We got our positive yesterday, beta was 540 at 12dp3dt. I don’t even know what to say except thank you, it is nothing short of a miracle as we used our OWN gametes this cycle, when we were told to use DE/DS. Unbelievable. I think that after speaking to you it helped me emotionally to cope with another IVF (our seventh). All I remember you saying is that you “would bet on it” and I thought well then I better start believing it too. Thanks again for everything, who would have thought we just needed to get the timing right? Kind Regards,
